MAJOR FUNCTION
This position involves highly technical and analytical work with planning, implementing and on- going support for the County's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. This position is responsible for change management and coordination across different functional business areas in relation to the ERP system. This position is expected to an environment of best practices and data integrity through effective policies & procedures, education, leadership and multi-level communication. As the coordinator, this position should have excellent presentation, analytical and project management skills, the ability to work in a collaborative team-oriented environment and have a thorough understanding of ERP or enterprise related business systems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The following statements describe the principal functions of this job and its scope of responsibility, but should not be considered an all-inclusive listing of work requirements.  Individuals may perform other duties as assigned, including working in other functional areas to cover absences or relief, to equalize peak work periods or otherwise to balance the workload.


  • Serve as the primary ERP project coordinator and liaison to department subject matter experts and functional leads during and after the implementation phase of the ERP.

  • Elicits business requirements through detailed review and analysis of existing systems and processes.  Translating these effective ERP workflows focusing on process automation.

  • Assists in developing and documenting ERP system policies and procedures, business rules, and training materials. Prepares detailed flow-charts, diagrams, and specifications as required.

  • Responsible for coordination and documenting data conversions and module-to-module interface integrations. Develops data verification methods to ensure data integrity.

  • Reports  to  management  on  progress  of  the  scheduling,  implementation,  and  other activities pertinent to the ERP project success.

  • Provides on-going instructional training, process assistance, and support services to ERP system end-users.

  • Responsible for instituting proper scheduling and testing of system maintenance plans and disaster recovery procedures.

  • Facilitate testing of new modules or releases. Monitor defect tracking and customer sign- offs.   Develop testing plans and ensure they meet client specifications, standards, guidelines, and efficiency requirements.

  • Plans, coordinates and oversees the implementation of several projects concurrently.

  • Develops, implements and monitors project schedules.  Estimates required resources to complete tasks.


SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
Performs other tasks as assigned.

CUSTOMER SERVICE
This is a front-line position for providing customer service to members of the general public and other County employees.  Personal contact occurs with other employees of the unit, employees of other departments in the County, citizens, and customers of the department. Service is provided in person or by phone contact.

SUPERVISION
Functions as a project lead worker for a small group.  Reviews the work product of others. Provides guidance, advice, and assistance to others on work assignments. Acts as a liaison between application end-users and technical support.



 
Required Qualifications :
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
Bachelor  Degree  from  four  year  college  or  university  with  major  course  work  in management information systems; with three years experience and/or training in analysis, programming, computer operations or maintenance of business applications; one year of experience in a leadership capacity as a project leader for development, integration and implementation of automated business solutions; or equivalent combination of education and experience.   Professional certification from the Project Management Institute preferred or three (3) years' experience in a project management role or an implementation team lead for a complex enterprise business system.  Experience with Microsoft Office, Project, Visio, SQL Reporting Services, Crystal Reports, Visual Studio and database design preferred.

Licenses
Valid Florida Driver License for required travel.

Business will conduct a CJIS background check

Specialized Skills and Abilities

  • Expert knowledge of various computer platforms as adopted by the County.

  • Thorough knowledge of the object oriented language and database infrastructure adopted by the County.

  • Knowledge of local, wide, and wireless area networking fundamentals.

  • Expertise   in   current   systems   and   methodologies   regarding   relational   database architecture, structure and design.

  • Experience with programming in current commonly used programming languages.

  • Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate, and review the work of subordinate technicians.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with department officials and other administrative personnel.

  • Ability to organize material, analyze information, and develop appropriate recommendations.

  • Ability to initiate and implement administrative procedures and evaluate their effectiveness.

  • Ability to plan and prioritize work and meet multiple deadlines.

  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.

  • Ability to take a teamwork approach to the job by cooperating with others, offering to help others when needed, and considering larger organization or team goals rather than individual concerns.  Includes the ability to build a constructive team spirit where team members are committed to the goals and objectives of the team.


Machines and Equipment
This employee will be required to operate a computer, calculator, telephone, fax machine, copy machine, and other general office equipment in the completion of the tasks of the position.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will occasionally be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell, and to lift up to fifty pounds; will regularly be required to talk or hear; and will frequently be required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Vision requirements are close and color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job in a typical indoors office environment. The noise level for this environment will be moderate.




Work Schedule: Full-time; hours not specified - Will be required to work some nights and weekends.


 


Salary: $48,297.60 - $67,953.60 DOE
