Job Description :
Summary/Objective
The Director of Online Communications will assist with all internal and external communications for the CEP specifically focusing on Online mediums. This position will ensure that messaging and brand are consistent throughout all communications.

Essential Functions


  • Manage and update content for CEP websites including: OcalaCEP.com, The HorseCapitol.com and LiveLifeHere.com

  • Provide regular communications to Partners and community stakeholders on CEP programs, initiatives, and events

  • Coordinate the publication and distribution of e-newsletters and event invitations

  • Ensure social media channels are consistently updated with appropriate messaging

  • Provide communication & marketing support to all program areas as needed

  • Assist in the development and implementation of partner surveys

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive communications plan for Talent Development programs and strategic initiatives

  • Assist with the implementation of a comprehensive Communication Policy and the updating of the annual Communication Plan of Work

  • Provide workforce development research and information including but not limited to surveys directed at wage benefits and workforce gaps

  • Exercise a high degree of confidentiality, professionalism and discretion to accomplish program objectives


Interaction:
This position will interact daily with all program staff in the communication of activities, opportunities and programs. This position will require tremendous knowledge of the organization and the various programs. The Director of OnlineCommunications is expected to assist with various programs, meetings and events as available.

Required Qualifications :
Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Communications or Public Relations preferred

  • 1-3 years prior experience in marketing, communications, website maintenance, social media management

This position has no supervisory responsibility

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. In this position, the employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; typing, and viewing a computer terminal. The employee will occasionally need to lift equipment and office supplies up to 40 pounds. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, talk and hear.

Travel:
Local travel to various partner and event venues. Valid Florida drivers license is required for travel.

Work Schedule:Normal work week is full time days, 40 hours per week. However, duties of this position may require incumbent to work beyond the traditional works hours and are subject to CEP's Overtime Policy

Salary: $30,000.00 to 35.000.00 per year plus benefits
