• Solid Engineering concepts and analytical skills
• Solid knowledge in reading and interpreting drawings
• Knowledge of Quality Control principles and methodology is an asset
• Good Communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong reasoning and problem-solving skills
• Ability to maintain project focus with minimal oversight
• Exceptional attention to details
• Able to follow verbal and written directions
• Basic Knowledge of Wiring Schematics
• Willingness to learn new skills and receive additional training

Job Responsibilities:

Position Summary
Work with all current team members in a collaborative environment of all areas, including:
• Collect existing 3D solid models from online sources and direct manufacturer contact for population of parts library
• Develop 3D solid models of purchase parts that have no manufacturer data files available
• Record and manage parts library to facilitate ease of use and revision change
• Utilize procedures, methods and tools for optimum interface of parts library with company assembly designs
• To validate model configurations for insertion into company product assemblies
• To participate in design requirements, verification, and validation of new purchase components
• To obtain product data sheets for use in customer proposal specifications and engineering reference
• Responsible for ensuring all purchase parts have a 3D solid model and datasheet on file in the library
• Work as needed on special projects
• Learn products and policies



• Work with teammates to tackle assigned projects including but not limited to:
• Oversee purchase parts model library
• Oversee purchase parts datasheet library
• Work with other design team members and collect additional data as needed for special projects
• Create solid model data not available from online sources
• Collect component part datasheets
• Assist other Design Team members as needed for special projects
• Implement and maintain database of all 3D solid models and datasheets
• Participate in the testing and evaluation of new products for use in company products
• Convert and detail 3D solid model parts to drawings for use in the manufacturing of company products
• Create documentation as needed for recording data files and instructional sheets for other team members to fully utilize the parts library
• Create manuals and detailed sets of instructions including algorithms that tell computers what to do.
• Participate as needed with other team members in Root Cause Analysis of failed products

This position is multifaceted and will start out as an entry level position with additional responsibilities added as the applicant’s skills and knowledge progress. Only the initial primary tasks are listed. The ideal candidate will possess the skills typically associated with Engineering Technology studies due to the vast array of skills that the candidate will need to be successful.


Reports to: Director of Engineering

Work Schedule: Full-time. 40 hours per week. Day shift.
