Job Description :
Local Logistics Company is seeking an International Pricing Analyst - Air & Ocean. This position will provide analytical and pricing support to our international business service offerings. The position will be pivotal in maximization of R+L Global Logistics & R+L Truckload Services' overall profitability enabling the organization to better manage and control our International Freight Forwarding operations.

 


International Pricing Analyst Knowledge, Skills and Abilities



  • Strong understanding of international transportation / freight forwarding industry

  • Excellent conflict resolution and problem solving skills

  • Well-organized and self-directed individual who is a team player 

  • Ability to be resourceful, creative and maintain flexibility, manage resources effectively and efficiently

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines while overseeing project management

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Access and Power Point

  • Strong knowledge of tariffs, rates, accessorial pricing, class and commodities 

  • Dynamic team player with the ability to serve internal and external customers

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to relate to and build relationships with people at all levels of an organization

  • Ability to analyze complex problems and develop alternative solutions

  • Ability to work independently and with off-site team members, as well as with all levels of management


International Pricing Analyst Summary of Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:



  • Respond and support for RFQ's, RFP's and RFI's as needed and in a timely manner

  • Analyze market and industry trends for overall price effectiveness 

  • Analyze both existing and potential business opportunities for the organization 

  • Develop effective business proposals and bid packages 

  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis pertaining to customer revenue, profit margins and service

  • Analyzes complex problems and develop alternative solutions

  • Other duties as assigned that support the sales, billing, claims management, and pricing teams


Required Qualifications :

Summary of International Pricing Analyst Experience and Education:



  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain or equivalent industry experience in transportation or logistics industry 

  • Minimum three years experience in transportation and international logistics 

  • Possess strong relationships with ocean carriers, airlines and freight forwarders

  • Knowledge of FMC rules and regulations

  • Previous tariff, rates, accessorial pricing, class and commodities experience

  • Experience working with ocean carriers & co-loaders on global rate negotiations

  • Experience reviewing and negotiating transportation contracts

  • Experience with Cargowise, McLeod, and other relevant TMS and Rate Engine Systems is preferred
