Road Maintenance Operation Manager
This position works within a general outline of work to be performed, and develops work methods and sequences under general supervision.
Supervises staff including selecting or recommending selection, training, assigning and evaluating work, counseling, disciplining, and terminating or recommending termination.
Oversees road maintenance construction projects including scheduling, preparing cost estimates, obtaining permits, and conducting inspections.
Administers, plans, coordinates, and manages the Limerock Road Paving Program.
Meets with vendors and subcontractors as necessary.
Provides technical engineering assistance to supervisors regarding project plans and specifications.
Reviews and resolves problems and complaints from citizens.
Represents Division at Emergency Operations Center.
Performs other related duties as required.
After hours emergency response as needed.
Education and Training
Requires an Associate's degree, vocational technical degree or specialized training in construction, paving, surveying and road maintenance that is equivalent to satisfactory completion of two years of college education. Requires a minimum of four years' experience. Experience in construction, paving, and road maintenance preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, Skills
Requires valid Florida Driver License for required travel. Ability to obtain FDOT Temporary Traffic Control Intermediate Certificate is required; IMSA Traffic Signals Level I is desired. Must have a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of Products. Must have or be able to obtain within 90 days certification in FEMA National Incident Management System (NIMS) courses 100pwb, 200b, 700b and 800c; as well as G300 as course becomes available.

Salary: $1,773.12 - $2,606.50 Biweekly
