GENERAL DESCRIPTION:



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:




Determine water and/or sewer service availability and related fees, as well as ensuring that new residential and/or commercial utility accounts are set up correctly for billing. Identifying available pre-pay credits and applicable conditions from Board approved agreements prior to construction. The ability to learn the county work order system, GIS and billing system is critical to successfully perform this job.


  • Responsible for residential connection requirements; establishing and releasing property liens agreements; developer agreements; and applying connection credits.

  • Provide detailed information in response to citizen inquires for new residential or commercial service connection.

  • Maintain daily communications to resolve issues from customers, developers, builders, realtors and other business representatives issues regarding new and existing service requests.

  • Initiate and complete work orders and service orders within existing database systems.

  • Communicate and coordinate with county staff regarding new utility connections.

  • Works within a general outline of procedural flow within the division and develops methods to complete tasks mor efficiently under general supervision.

  • Maintain multiple database systems in Excel and Access to track and report meter installations, new line installations, outstanding credit balances, asset inventory and other utility related informaiton.

  • Support team members within the division by answering telephone calls in a call center environment.



Required Qualifications :








Education, Training, and Experience:
Associate's degree, vocational or technical certifications or specialized training that is equivalent to the satisfactory completion of education.  Requires utilities administrative experience. 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, Skills:
Requires valid Florida Driver License for required travel. Must have or be able to obtain within 90 days certification in FEMA National Incident Management System (NIMS) courses 100B and 700A. Must have strong working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office Products.

Salary:  $17.15 - $26.41 per hour, DOE
