Job Description :
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: This is an advanced technical/management position conducting & supervising the preparation of project work plans, cost estimates, contract administration, creation of technical reports, specifications & engineering calculations, holds project meetings ensuring work procedures are followed, and coordinates the participation of consultants, engineers, designers, and contractors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Conduct & supervise the preparation of project work plans, cost estimates, contract administration, and creation of technical reports, specifications & engineering calculations

  • Coordinate project meetings ensuring work procedures are followed

  • Oversee the participation of consultants, engineers, designers, and contractors

  • Attend engineering division meetings with the public & engineering consultants

  • Associated design work & preparation

  • Conduction of studies & reports

  • Other miscellaneous engineering projects


Salary: $55,433.04 to $81,992.82 annually DOE

Work Schedule: Full Time

Required Qualifications :
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess a valid Florida Driver License for required travel

  • Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, a Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Engineer In Training (E.I.T.) is preferred.

  • Must have at least 1 year of progressive civil engineering and design experience.

  • Experience with stormwater design, roadway, utility, site and pavement design.

  • Knowledge of drainage, hydrology and hydraulics.  

  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel.

  • Knowledge of Auto CAD.

  • Oral and written communication skills.

  • Must have or be able to obtain within 90 days certification in the NIMS or Incident Command System courses 100A, 700A, 800B, 200A.
