Job Description :
The job description example below shows the major tasks, duties, and responsibilities commonly
performed by a Help Desk Specialist:
Provide Support for proprietary software
Talk to customers over the phone or via email to provide solutions to technical
problems
Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshooting to identify client issues
Provide customers with accurate information on IT products and services
Quickly address customer problems to minimize downtime
Educate clients on procedures for resolving or preventing recurrence of a technical
problem
Act as liaison between the organization and its clients
Explain and provide IT solutions to customers in non-technical and comprehensible
terms
Offer recommendations to clients (with supervisor input and approval) looking to
purchase new equipment or replace existing equipment.
Prepare and present reports to update management on IT support operations
Operate and work with equipment such as mobile platforms, external storage
devices, computer diagnostic tools, printers etc.
Respond to inquiries about hardware or software issues
Repair or replace faulty components of a computer/network system
Attend educational programs, workshops, and seminars to stay current with
developments in the IT industry
Quality Assurance Testing of new software releases
Regression testing of new and supported software releases
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Required Qualifications :
Requirements – Skills, Abilities and Knowledge
▪ Education and Training: Associate degree in computer science, networking, or
programming OR students currently enrolled in an IT degree program. (preferred) 
▪ Communication Skill: Able to use clear language and expression to provide
technical support to clients
▪ Problem-solving Skill: Provide solutions to address the needs of customers
▪ Interpersonal Skill: Work with various tech professionals to develop and
implement IT support strategies. Successful applicants must have the ability to
work both in a team and individual
▪ Successfully pass background investigation and drug screening.
▪ Basic understanding writing SQL queries (Preferred)
▪ A strong understanding of computer components and fundamentals of I.T.

▪ Previous work experience in a customer facing role is preferred.



Salary:  $30-$35K annually, depending on experience.
