Essential Functions


  • Manage Social Presence on multiple platforms (i.e. Facebook, Instagram)

  • Execute social media marketing strategies and initiatives that align with the overall strategic marketing plan

  • Manage communications with industry partners on relevant tourism industry events and opportunities

  • Develop and Maintain CRM/CMS database of tourism industry partners and media contacts

  • Manage industry partner listings, blog posts, layout, and other design/function elements of the destination’s webpage

  • Assist director in developing and implementing the public relations strategy for the Visitor's Bureau and the Tourism Development Council

  • Assist in coordination of familiarization tours by creating itineraries for media/trade representatives and serving as host for participants as needed.

  • Represent Visitors Bureau at educational events and promotional trade shows

  • Create content for annual visitors guide as well as website/social channels

  • Enhance local engagement and visibility through industry meetings and outreach programs 

  • Coordinate Industry Relations Advocacy Program and maintain Tourism Advocates Facebook Page

  • Must be flexible and able to work occasional evenings, weekends and travel overnight

  • Able to drive and operate County vehicle

  • Perform related work as required

Salary: $37,633.44-$55,850.60

Minimum Requirements


Education, Training, and Experience

  • Requires 4-year degree in related field or a minimum of 4 years’ experience in Hospitality/Tourism

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, Skills:

  • Requires valid Florida Driver License

  • Requires strong organization skills

  • Requires ability to maintain courteous and effective relations with County staff and the public

  • Must have strong working knowledge of computers and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite of Products (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)

  • Must have or be able to obtain within 90 days certification in FEMA National Incident Management System (NIMS) courses: IS-100.c: Introduction to the Incident Command System (ICS); and IS-700.b: An Introduction to the National Incident Management System
